Miffed About Moisturization: Why You're Still Failing To See Real Results Your

If the beauty pages are anything to be believed, moisturizing is the single best defence you have against the signs of aging. Celebs like Demi Moore endorse this with their perfect skin and ageless faces. If their testimonies are anything to go by, you shouldn’t need anything else to see your skin looking as good as theirs does.

Sadly, you’ve been moisturizing for a while now, and you’re still not exactly up to Demi standards. In fact, you’re pretty sure that your skin looks the same now as ever. And, it’s starting to get on your nerves. You just want to look fresh again for goodness sake. Is that so much to ask? Why is that these methods work for everyone else but you?

We can’t say for sure, but we can certainly hazard a few guesses. Most of the time, there are easy enough reasons why moisturization doesn’t quite hit the spot. If your methods have got your miffed so far, then, keep on reading to find out what’s going wrong.

You left it too late to start

It’s possible that your issues here are to do with little more than the fact that you left it too late. Moisturization is a way to prevent wrinkles, not undo them. While a regular habit can hydrate your skin and lessen wrinkle appearance, it can’t get rid of lines altogether. If that’s what you’re after, you’ll need to opt for non-surgical beauty treatments like micro-needling which can actually take care of those wrinkles. This will provide you with something of a blank canvas. You can then apply moisturizer and start to see the results which have been missing until now.

You aren’t using the right product

If you picked up any old moisturizer from the shelf, it’s no wonder that this isn’t working for you. There are a wide array of moisturizing products available, and with good reason. Remember that we all have different skin types, for example. If you’re using a product for oily skin on your dry face, is it any wonder you aren’t seeing the results you expect? You could actually end up doing more harm than good this way. Don’t let that happen by buying for your skin type. If you’re unsure, ask a professional to match you up with the right gear. Before you know, you’ll be on the straight path to moisturization success.

Your habit is too intermittent

It’s also worth noting that you may not be seeing results because you only moisturize once a week or less. That’s never going to work. Instead, you need to get into the habit of doing this at least once a day. Some people opt to moisturize more, and that can help too, but once a day should be minimum. That way, you can ensure your skin stays hydrated at all times, and keep wrinkles at bay. Do this once a week, and you’ll feed your skin a little without ever standing a chance at seeing real results.
