All you need is the address of a building and it will tell you everything about living there and things that may change in the future. It warns you of pedestrian hotspots nearby or about the flooding chances. It will flag all types of construction that is being done in the surrounding areas which could hinder the experience of living there. Localize even shows the benefits including the closest dog parks, the Citi bike stations, and the shortest walk to the subway.
Localize also wants to work as a news site where residents can discover the latest news surrounding their neighborhood. The content on Localize is generated by algorithms that combine with multiple sources. A team of data scientists and urban planners break down the information they receive into easier to understand terms for the user.
“Home buyers and renters are forced to choose their new home without knowing what life will be like after moving in,” said Steven Kalifowitz, President of Localize.
The website has become a must use for all apartment hunters and even for residents who want to learn more about the neighborhood they call home.
