An Evening Celebrating Chefs, Drugs and Rock & Roll with Celebrity Chef David Burke
On Wednesday, May 2nd, Douglas Elliman top producing team, The Zweben Team, hosted an intimate evening with bestselling author, Andrew Friedman, and renowned celebrity chef, David Burke, to celebrate Friedman’s new book, Chefs, Drugs, and Rock & Roll: How Food Lovers, Free Spirits, Misfits, and Wanderers Created a New American Profession. The event took place at the team’s exclusive TriBeCa listing, 137 Duane Street, 2E, where guests enjoyed delicacies catered personally by Burke from his restaurant, Tavern62 by David Burke.
Friedman, Burke and Elliman’s own, Paul Zweben, who cooked for the chef at The River Cafe in the 1980s, shared stories of those formative years in American cuisine and New York City restaurants. Greenwich Village bookstore, BookBook, was on site for guests to purchase the book. All copies were sold by the end of the night.

Additional guests included Carolyn Zweben, Mariana Pomerlian, Neil Porter, Donna Lewan, Michele Dellinger, Mark Shannon, Natalie Abraham, Heather Burns and Julie Harding of The Zweben Team.
