Flex Mussels is excited to announce the launch of its latest pop-up venture Giuseppe’s, located in the upstairs dining room of their Upper East Side location. Paying homage to cherished memories and traditions, Giuseppe’s is set to offer a nostalgic, classic Italian American dining experience starting Monday, February 3rd for an initial two-week run.
At the helm of Giuseppe’s is seasoned Chef Steven Lopin, with decades of experience in Italian American cuisine. Chef Lopin brings his expertise from renowned establishments, including a distinguished tenure at Franke’s and Frankies 457 Spuntino in Carroll Gardens, ensuring that every dish served is both authentic and exceptional.
Giuseppe’s is named in honor of Chef Steven Lopin’s grandfather and the beloved dog of his chef partner, both of whom passed away last year. This heartfelt tribute sets the tone for a menu that embraces the comforting and playful spirit of the classic Italian eateries many grew up loving. In the midst of a particularly cold winter, Giuseppe’s aims to bring warmth and joy through familiar flavors and a vibrant atmosphere.

In addition to the core offerings, each evening will showcase a chalkboard of specials, featuring a rotating selection of dishes prepared in limited quantities, encouraging guests to try something new each visit.
